Finally, the hack is done!

I’ve spent over eight months taking Starmen.net forummers, and putting them in the EarthBound ROM as enemies. It took a while, but the end result was worth it. You’ve got to test this hack out to see all of the effort that people put into this.

There are a few bugs, though:

• Tracy doesn’t work. You can still call her with Escargo Express, but she doesn’t say anything when she’s in her room. It’s annoying, but not game breaking.
• The guy in the Happy Happy Village that heals you (for a fee) is also broken. That means that there’s really no way to heal after Peaceful Rest Valley. To counteract this, Non-Toxics drop PSI Caramels in every battle. The Magic Butterfly spot in the Lilliput Caves is also useful.
• The overworld sprites in Brick Road aren’t correct. This is because the enemies there don’t use their actual overworld sprites, they just use the scripted overworld sprites set for them.
• It’s a little bit more difficult to enter a battle with Super Duper Fjord than normal. Kind of annoying.
• The Insane Cultists in Carpainter’s House are off-colored. I can’t explain why this happens – I still don’t understand it.

When applying the patch, use PK Hack to expand your ROM to max size. Also, I’ve had more succes running the hack with ZSNES than SNES9X.

Other than just the enemies, I’ve made a bunch of random changes to text in a few places. That must have been what broke Tracy and the Happy Happy Guy. Just keep a lookout for things that have been changed.

That being said, here’s the patch! I hope you have as much fun playing this as I did making it. Or else.

No, YOU make a sprite. Sorry, I don’t feel like creating random sprites for 160 people.
If you don’t feel like making one, I’ll either use the normal sprite or a palette swap.
