The end of Super Mario Galaxy from the black hole scene, to the babies crying in heaven, to the last lines from Rosalina. I don’t care what anyone else says, I cried, the ending was epic yet wonderfully simplistic, yet still profound, for me.
And also I love the story in that game, since when the heck is a story bad just because it’s simplistic, and it’s cosmetically childish? – at least that’s what I got from most mainstream reviews. But yeah, the ending made me cry. And then there is the awesome symphony staff roll music to end it all off. There isn’t anything I don’t love about that game.

Oh wow, thank god I’m not the only one. I was getting sick of people ragging on it for being too childish. The message isn’t somehow only meant for “kids.” It’s a lovely message that is coupled perfectly with the black hole imagery (inevitable concept of death) and the audio of babies crying in a heavenly like atmosphere (inevitable concept of life anew). It’s simplistic, yet is such a universal message, hence the unique epic-styled title for the game – “Galaxy.”
I’ve never seen a story like it in any other video game I have played. And besides Earthbound, it’s the only other game that makes me cry every time I get to the ending. lol, of course, I don’t actually beat the final boss over and over again, only rarely do I play the final bowser

ah yes, how could I forget, i think there were a few times I cried at the end of Super Mario RPG. How could i have forgotten. oh, and the end of WindWaker. okay, yeah, i’ve named all the games i’ve cried too, shouldn’t be anymore.

Nothing has made me cry before, but there are a few games that came close to such a feat. The ending of Metal Gear Solid 3. The crawling scene near the end of MGS4. Actually, there are a bunch of heartrending scenes in the Metal Gear Solid games. Nothing else comes to mind, though. I recall something depressing about Final Fantasy VI, but it’s been so many years since I’ve played it. I hardly remember the story. So much for it being my favorite entry in the series.
Choose a number, add four, multiply by two, subtract six, divide by two, then subtract the original number. The answer is one.

Links Awakening: This was my first ever video game, I beat it when I was 9. I was actually crying so hard my parents had to bring me out for ice cream just to calm me down. :I But come on, I was 9!
Okami: I think this was the only game to make me cry tears of happiness. The final cutscene with Issun was incredible~

What makes a person so poisonous righteous that they’d think less of anyone who just disagreed?
Hmmmmmm.
I don’t think any game has ever gotten to me like that.
Just the news.

Read the comments too, for lulz. I’m somewhere in the later pages, cursing my head off.
So am I.
Check page 3. I’m Medieval Werewolf. I pissed him off so bad with my irrefutable logic that he booted me from making any more comments. If his definition of humor is the complete violation of every single basic principle of aesthetics and game design, he has no business even being in the industry.

The most emotionally mind-blowing thing I’ve ever witnessed in a game was the end of Call of Duty 4.
and the Horse you rode in on…
I cried myself to sleep for nights after playing twenty minutes of a CDi Zelda game at my friends house.

Yeah. Cd-i zelda made me want to commit suicide. YTP made up for it though. I usually like sophisticated humor, but wow, some YTPs have made me laugh REALLY hard.
No game has truly, truly made me cry. Sure, every now and then i feel some heart wrenching, but never tears.

Mmmmmmmm……Richer!
I am a super manly man, but I’m not afraid to admit that I’ve cried before. Both times were in Final Fantasy IX and Earthbound, both times because I beat the game and I was sad that there wasn’t anything else new in them. I also cried when I was a lot younger and I was playing Mystical Ninja for the N64 because I didn’t know how to get out of the room. Literally, it took 3 freakin’ hours. I was stupid back then, okay?
Oh yeah, and Final Fantasy VII did not make me cry. At all. Yeah, I don’t get what’s so sad that could justify all of the internet BAWWWWWing. People cry all the freakin’ time about Aeris, but never over Everdred or any of the other RPG characters that died at some point in history. What makes her so much better? What’s with all of the RPG prejudice?
You cannot stop me with paramecium alone.
because FFVII was in THREE DIMENSIONS and is somehow MORE IMPORTANT

Only time I almost cried was Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance.
Which part would that be? Is it the part with Greil?
COMING SOON: My funfest entries. If I can do them. >>;;;
