The AC series seemed more repetitive than an MMO to me…and even then, you don’t really benefit from building your house to the largest level or anything. I guess I haven’t found more challenges to grant myself then.

I am all over this. I’m gonna go halvsies with my brother the day it comes out, when I could just wait a month and get it for free. That’s how anxious I am.

I was pretty disappointed with Wild World.

I used the Wi-fi of Wild World to keep up with my friends on the other side of the country since I don’t use my email or messengers services that often. It’s going to be even more fun being able to speak with them this time around.

Heck, I got an extra year out of playing WW since we would keep resetting the town and start from scratch. In any case, I reserved and Castlevania Judgement a while ago, so I’m going to be getting some good game time with the Wii.

(Druid, I live for those kind of nights. Though it usually involves some form of King Crimson playing in the background.)

I soon as I found out that it pretty much took all the 1-player aspects of the GCN version, and combined them with the character customization and online play of Wid World, I was hooked.

Instant buy. The GCN version is still one of my all time favorit games.

Anyway, I’ll be getting this, mostly because I’m burned out on Wild World and need something new and fresh to start on. My sister wants the game too, so we’ll probably just share a town.

I’m a patient person when it comes to things I like, and I actually really enjoyed Wild World. So even if this game was just Wild World plus the holidays in the GC version, with some new items, I would still buy it!

But it looks even better than that, of course.
I’m really excited. I’ve been looking forward to this game for years.

I’m afraid of picking this up.

My town in the Gamecube version is essentially in permanent stasis. I’m scared that when I turn it back on someone I like will be gone.

Also, I played GC for like a year and WW for two… ehehe.

Oh, that reminds me, has it been confirmed if you’ll be able to save more patterns like in the GC version? Because that was probably the one thing that really bothered me.

You are not. I hated that on some designs, it just didn’t always look right.

The music sounds fantastic! I’ve not played an Animal Crossing game before, are they good?

Only if they don’t bring Whisp (or whatever his name was) back. Picking all of your town’s weeds by hand is a pain

It appears Quinn the Eskimo is gonna start a new adventure in a new town. Can’t wait for this game. I am extremely excited for it. It appears everything I wanted to be re-added that was cut out of Wild World is gonna be there.

I need to get it the day it comes out, though. Can’t miss Cornifer and fish and what not.

Ah man, I can’t wait. The original is so nostalgic, I was seven when I got it. My 12-years-older-than-me brother and I played it non-stop for a few days. It’s still my favorite GCN game. I was really excited when the DS version came out, I wasn’t paying attention at all in class those days.
This’ll be great. Two of my friends are both buying it, and my brother even said he would buy it. I’ve already got it pre-ordered, and I’m thinking about getting the guide.

I’m buying City Folk regardless of what it has or doesn’t have. I was sold at ‘Animal Crossing’.

I am the (self-proclaimed) biggest Animal Crossing fan in the universe, so I’m going to be picking this up and playing the crap out of it. And hitting Lion Rocker over and over again with a net. And an axe. And a fist.

Yet.. it pains me so much to admit that this game already has a huge flaw. What the heck, Nintendo, you can’t get away with putting the same crap music into a supposedly better game. I’m not even saying put the GCN music back in even though it’s vastly superior IMO, but… what is the excuse for having no new music? I wouldn’t care if it was WORSE than WW’s music, just something new is very very… I don’t know, expected? >=/ I guess music matters more to me than most people. Maybe just music in AC, because for me, the music in the original made a LOT of the experience for me. Aaaaah well. Not taking anything away from the game, it’s still going to be fun, but way to combat those “more of the same” claims, Nintendo. :<
