If only I was able to keep my beard as long as I'd like, but when it gets past a certain point it becomes unruley and I am forced to trim it again. But it grows back very quickly.
He signed a Chekov T-shirt that I got at Trekfest in Riverside, Iowa. Oddly enough, my current design professor did the design for all of the shirts at the festival this year.
So anyway, I was out in the great outdoors earlier today, and I decided I would test my new camera's closeup feature on some bees. It worked pretty well for a cheap camera, but the bees were extremely frustrating photography subjects. Silly things kept moving around, pollinating stuff. This was probably the best of several dozen photos:
Wow, that is a very nice picture, it has great focus work and has a lot of detail to that little bee. I wish my digital camera had the optical zoom of my video camera, but oh well. If it did then dang I'd be taking these pictures. Nice job, Mr. A!
[23:16] reidman: holy crap its raining sideways outside
give my regards to the next frog you meet.
that is a very nice picture, despite the fact i hate bees with a burning passion.
COMING SOON: My funfest entries. If I can do them. >>;;;
lewahi: thanks! :B I used an Olympus FE-280, which is a nice little pocket-sized 8MP camera that can be had for cheap. It only has a 3X optical zoom, but I wasn't using it for the bees: I was pretty much holding the lens of the camera about two inches away.
tfn: why hate bees? They're so useful and hard-working, and really rather docile. I was practically poking these guys with my finger trying to get them into the right positions so I could actually get a good shot.

so my friend Saskia on livejournal was laughing at a picture of a dude with a furry black top hat on, and I replied back, saying 'oh hey I have a hat like that! 'cept it's larger and bright pink and I got it at a carnival~'
and she was like 'TAKE A PICTURE OF YOU WEARING IT THIS INSTANT.'

Hooray for fuzzy hats.

So anyways, I went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, in Cleveland.
As for the Hall itself... Unfortunately, they only allow photos to be taken in the lobby.
