Ok, first of all, thanks to Tomato for both the reply to my PM and for uploading again the patch. I am nearing completion on the list and will post it next week (I may need 3 days only) And sorry for not uploading it myself
As an update, I adapted the names for both characters and PSI to their Smash counterparts, minus Parálisis and Vómitor (the first because Nintendo mistook Paralisis and Congelación and the other not only because the name, but because of story reasons)
To dawgun: done and spoke to, a great guy.
To ryuzaki: as said before, it’s spanish from Spain because: 1) It’s the standard 2) I am Spanish But of course, there are some accents mixed because, for example, some characters named the Sánchez brothers are Mexicans, so I made them speak somewhat like in Mexico. To your second question, it’s from Earthbound the translation, not from Mother 2, so you can enjoy seeing people getting drunk from a espresso
More to tell in a few days. I will try to reply posts till then, of course.
EDIT: List it’s done at last! MissingInEB.txt has first the missing lines and after that the parts not translated properly/bugs.
And to Deses: Thank you for the support and remembering me that the font patch was incomplete. Nearly posted the list without that While testing, I made a revision and fixed mispellings and -áis/-éis verbal tenses, both in the script and in the text file I posted before with the ending lines. I have made also a new patch were all this it’s updated. Also, some names are updated to fit the official Nintendo translation, and PSI names are now (name)PSI, minus PSI Rockin.

My experience is that only people from Spain think that European Spanish is the standard. The Spanish language has no standard, really. Calling it “standard” when the vast majority of Spanish speakers all over the world don’t even use “vosotros” sounds strange to me.
I don’t disagree with your decision to translate the game into your own dialect, of course; Spain’s dialect is as good as any. I just disagree that “European Spanish = standard” really makes any sense.
Anyway, I notice you didn’t respond to my earlier post… what do you think?

And I don’t disagree with you too. I think it’s more of a “point of view” decision which it’s the standard Spanish. Mostly because everyone wants his to be the standard (For American people=Mexico’s/Argentina’s, for other people=Spain’s, that’s how “I” think) And yeah, how/why I would translate the game in other dialect anyway v_v;

yes, you are right, it is pointless.
So is the Japanese version because you can’t “speek” Japanese let alone read it, because apparently the world revolves around you.

it’s actually quite entertaining to read his comments, just because they are so bad.
anyway, on topic, i think it would be nice to translate the awesomeness of earthbound into other languages, so that not only English and Japanese people can experience earthbound.
